This 40 year old serial killer had already been serving a life sentence for murdering his cellmate at HMP Exeter. The crimes were brutal and calculated, with Desborough showing no remorse or reflection on his actions.
His behavior was not limited to the murders themselves; he also showed callous disregard for the lives of those who lived at Sandy Lodge Hotel, where he had previously resided alongside Aquilino and Coleman.
